Are you seriously using yum at the same time as dpkg/apt, on the same system? Honestly, I never did that, and I never though it would be a good idea or even possible without having a shitload of issues. The reason I maintain yum is to be able to use it to bootstrap CentOS in a chroot (the say way you'd use debootstrap). Anyway, I think that's a problem upstream, and you should ask at: yum development <[email protected]> I've put them as Cc:, in the hope they can have a look at: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=651390 and give opinions how to fix in Squeeze.
