Hi,
I built dnf-0.3.0 today, for F19 and rawhide. It has around 60 new
patches since 0.2.22, but they all together achieve just one thing:
relying on librepo[1] for metadata downloads instead of using
dnf.yum.repos and dnf.yum.YumRepo. These two modules are now obsoleted
and once removed completely (soon) they will decrease the total LOC
count of dnf by another two thousand lines.
Because these changes definitely have the potential to break things it
won't be merged back into F18, I don't want to disturb the few DNF users
there, instead I'm going to let the librepo backend settle during F19
stabilization. F18 will only receives fixes for serious issues,
dnf-0.2.23 for instance brings fixed user-agent string [2]. This version
of DNF can be browsed on github as "maint-f18" branch [3].
