Having looked at: <snips> http://yum.baseurl.org/wiki/YumMultipleMachineCaching Mount /var/cache/yum over NFS and set keepcache=1 in yum. Cons sqlite (and hence yum) doesn't like being on NFS.
(beta) avahi-packages-server.py and yum avahi support (see: http://james.fedorapeople.org/yum/avahi) </snips> Just thinking out loud, trying not to duplicate any backroom efforts? yum, not PackageKit, apper etc.. an idea autofs + nfs + yum-local + createrepo with yum-local honouring eg: repodir =/nfs/yum/$releasever/$basearch so no manual changing on os update I have to have a good luck at both yum-local and createrepo Just a germ of an idea, as current devs your thoughts, is it feasible, would I be just wasting time putting effort into this. -- Regards, Frank www.frankly3d.com _______________________________________________ Yum-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.baseurl.org/mailman/listinfo/yum-devel
