Aku sangat setuju nih, "hanya orang yang beradab dan rendah hati yang bisa 
mengucapkannya, secara tulus." Gereja Inggris sudah minta maaf atas kesalahan 
masa lalunya. Nah itu bukti orang beradab,  agama beradab.
Mau engga ya orang Islam minta maaf sama suku Quraisy atau orang Hindu atau 
kelompok yang pernah memiliki Kabah bahwa Islam telah merampas Kabah lalu 
dijadikan tempat suci Islam (gimana bisa suci yah, kalo hasil rampokan). Aku 
kira susah yah, mungkin memang tidak beradab dari sononye. Sampe-sampe MUI juga 
mane ade pernah minta maaf kepada korban Bom Bali? Memang beaum beradab juga 
kali ye.

Kl masalah meminta maaf, saya kira bukan karena kuat atau lemah, tapi masalah 
kearifan. Ada orang yang secara kekuatan lebih kuat, tetapi dengan randah hati 
minta maaf karena merasa bersalah, atau karena permohonan maaf itu bisa 
meredakan ketegangan, meski dia sesungguhnya tidak merasa bersalah. Ada juga 
yang udah jelek, kecil, salah, tapi congkak ngga mau minta maaf. Kl gw salah lu 
mau apa ? begitu kira2 prinsipnya.
 
Jadi, masalah permohonan maaf tidaklah selalu diidentikkan dengan perasan 
lemah. Yang pasti, hanya orang yang beradab dan rendah hati yang bisa 
mengucapkannya, secara tulus.
