Probably the dreaded mpeg2 files if it has a .mpg extension. You need DVD codec's to view mpeg2. You can download them here free. http://www.regyptionstrut.com/Fraunhofer-DVD-Codecs.zip   Another possibility is that it's divX. You can download a free divX player someplace. More information can be found here. I haven't had to deal with divx much yet.
