Yes, Nazi-like attitudes are rife in the Old Testament. But cognitive dissonance is dealt with with denial. The Europeans (including the British and Americans) were Nazi-like in their attitudes toward natives in annexed territories. Actually, it is intrinsic human nature that, in inter-group relations, groups use their power to their own advantage and usually to the detriment of less powerful groups.
