I'm glad you added the last phrase "...how they are interpreted is another 
matter."  That's the point, isn't it?

It's the RELIGION of Christianity that has interpreted them, and this (IMO) is 
the crux of problems I've listed.  But, that's the job (function/purpose) of a 
Religion - to interpret, possibly censor, augment, and place structure around 
the teachings of an 'enlightened' being - like Jesus or Buddha - and then 
insert themselves between you and him.  In that sense Religions work very much 
the same as your discriminating mind does with Experience(Reality).

I'm glad we agree! Not even a hint of an argument!
