If you can see these please keep in mind that the horizontal scales are not the
same.  One is in increments of 10 years and the other is in increments of
10,000
years or 3 orders of magnitude difference (or is it 4? 10 to the first power
and
10 to the fourth).  We have a data spike. The present level of CO2 at Mauna Loa
is ~385 ppmv (remember Mauna Loa is an active volcano) while the maximum in the
Ice Core is 300.  Just a rough analysis of the core data from the portion of
the
graph between 325,000 to 335,000 years ago shows that there was a change in CO2
from 200 to 300 ppmv that coincides with a temperature change of -8 to +3
degrees from the average global temperature in 1999.  Is it accurate then to
take this data and say that a 100 ppmv CO2 change results in a 11 degree C
temperature change or a ration of 10 ppmv to 1.1 degree C?  Is it accurate to
say that the data from Mauna Loa can be used as an extrapolation of the Vostok
Ice Core data.  If so then since 1999 (the temperature base line of the Vostok
Core) there has been an increase of  CO2 of 15 ppmv that should give us a 1.65
degree C increase in global temperature above the 1999 baseline.  This is still
below the maximum of 3 degrees measured in the core and below any of the
maximums of any interglacial period seen in the core.  It maybe that there is a
lag between cause and effect and that we have yet to actually see the true
nature of  damage.  Is it valid to use the Mauna Loa data as a direct
extrapolation of the core data without some sort of correction.  It may also be
true that the Mauna Loa data is anomolous, that the data spike is just that, a
spike.  Or in the parlence of signal to noise analysis it is noise.

[Attachment(s) from William Rintala included below]
I looked at Keeling's graph and his data shows that CO2 at Mauna Loa has
increased well above historical atmospheric normals since 1960. I don't know if
any of you can see my attachments but I've tried to add the Keeling Graph and
the Vostok Ice Core Graph.  The Ice Core Graph is interesting because it shows
the periods of warming and cooling with the increases and decreases in CO2.

Bill,

Look at the Keeling curve over the past 55 years.

Then look at the behavior of the Carbon isotopic ratio of CO2 gas over the past
55 years.

You will see that the new CO2 added to the atmosphere is from fossil sources.

Just sayin'! Please take it *personally*.
