BTW, I wear no scents.  Also, I don't shave: my many girlfriends (ha!) don't 
call me "Grey-Beard" for nothing (I don't mean to say that I CHARGE them).

Too much information, I know, Mike, sorry.  ;-)

I stopped wearing scents when I took up Yoga practice in classes, about 1972.  
Scents just make peoples's eyes smart and can distract the concentration.  And 
zen practice especially also has put the further kabosh on wearing scents.

I think I live my life like Sesshin, and vice-versa.

Going to sesshin is like being Home with Family.  By about the third day, it's 
like we all have the same last-name.  It wasn't always so, but almost.  You 
know how 'tis!

Strong practice! (...is good perfume),
