Merle and Edgar, I find myself siding with Merle here, although I've seen this debate on zen sites before.
'Practicing' can mean 'doing over and over to get better' - like "I'm going to the shooting range to practice with my AR-15". But it can also mean just 'doing' - like "I practice abstinence." Also, some professions are called a 'practice', like a sugeon's practice. I think we all hope surgeons practice on cadavers so they can practice on live humans. ...Bill! --- In [email protected], Merle Lester <merlewiitpom@...> wrote: > > > > Â from my understanding practise is doing...merle > > > Â > Merle, > > Practice is for students who are still learning how to do... > > Do you 'practice' gardening or do you garden? > > Edgar > > > > > On Mar 29, 2013, at 10:03 PM, Merle Lester wrote: > > Â > > > > > > > > > >Â however the big question is does edgar practise tao???? merle > >Â > >Edgar, > > > >Yet you always talk of the Tao.. > > > >Mike > > > >--- In [email protected], Edgar Owen <edgarowen@> wrote: > >> > >> Mike, > >> > >> Zen mind drops all such attachments of all religions, whether > >> sophisticated or unsophisticated.... > >> > >> Edgar > >> > >> > >> > >> On Mar 29, 2013, at 8:17 PM, mike wrote: > >> > >> > > >> > Edgar, > >> > > >> > If they believe in the same unsophisticated interpretation of 'Christ' > >> > as you, then I would agree. > >> > > >> > Mike > >> > --- In [email protected], Edgar Owen <edgarowen@> wrote: > >> > > > >> > > Merle, > >> > > > >> > > Nut job is someone who believes in obvious delusions, such as true > >> > > believer Christians and many others... > >> > > > >> > > Edgar > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > On Mar 29, 2013, at 6:37 PM, Merle Lester wrote: > >> > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > edgar..what is a nut job?..merle > >> > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > Correct!
