No, no.  The sanghas are where Buddhadharma is alive.  A sangha is people, 
practicing.

The scriptures and other writings is where Buddhadharma is fossilized, for 
people's benefit.

But, looking at fossils can be a GREAT inspiration, and can convey copious 
information.  Just ask ME: I was a KID, once!
