I would like to use Zen Load Balancer to act as an SSL frontend to a
non-ssl http server backend. I have done this in a test environment
with a simple web server and it works fine but I have a production
system that has been impossible to use in this configuration. The
problem lies with the backend server in that certain Tomcat delivered
pages have code in them that redirects back to an http URL in certain
situations. The vendor who makes this product has been of little help.
They don't have other customers trying to do this so I am the odd one.
My intention is to use Zen as a public facing SSL internet connection
and to keep the backend connection as standard http.
If I manually change the URL back to https:// after it changes to
http://, then the program works fine. Unfortunately, I cannot expect my
users to do that. Is there a way that Zen can force a header change for
misbehaving applications such as this?
