I think vmware requires the same config as Hyper-v : enabled MAC Spoofing. (and
optionally assign static mac).
Once it's enabled it should work like a charm.
It's a common issue for hyper-v and vmware hypervisors.

Onderwerp: Re: [Zenloadbalancer-support] cluster mess
Running on VMware? This is indicative of CARP packets not making it between
nodes. CARP uses multicast Ethernet frames, and some switches won't forward
them without an IGMP message (since usually layer 3 multicast is mapped to a
layer 2 multicast frame). You need to get the CARP packets working, then you
are set.
We use the Nexus 1000v distributed virtual switch on VMware, and it was a few
commands on the port-profile to enable CARP multicast forwarding.
Let me know what your networking looks like, and I'll see what I can do to help
you.

Subject: [Zenloadbalancer-support] cluster mess
Well I have a real mess with my zlb cluster
At a certain point before I realized the problem I now have a two node cluster
where both nodes think they are master and they masters...status shows
Zen latency is UP on Gue-Debian-ExBalancer2 10.10.4.86 | Zen latency is UP on
Gue-Debian-ExBalancer1 10.10.4.85
Cluster IP 10.10.4.87 is active on Gue-Debian-ExBalancer2 Cluster is active on
Gue-Debian-ExBalancer1 !
Zen Inotify is running on Gue-Debian-ExBalancer2 Gue-Debian-ExBalancer1 !
Global status: !
all services are always on for both nodes..
I can both nodeshave a active VIP x.x.x.87.
I have tried disabling the cluster and redoing the config and it always ends up
with the same status...
I have gone to into a one of the nodes into /zenloadbalncer/config diretcory
and removed all files and recreated the cluster and it still ends up the same
way...
Is there a specific set of files I need to get the system back to the point say
1 node with all my farms defined no cluster and a second unconfigured node that
will let me run through the cluster configuration wizard.
I would like to remove all cluster information and start from scratch without a
reinstall.
Any help would be appreciated...
