Hi Matt!

That message means that zenperfsnmp is not getting through the list of devices faster than the sample time.

Let's say you are sampling your devices every 60 seconds for performance data. If you fail to walk through the list of devices in 60 seconds because of delays, or SNMP failures, you will get this message.

Assuming you have less than 500 devices, and you have somehow managed to set your Monitors->Performance->localhost->Edit->Snmp Cycle Time (secs) to 60, you may run into this situation.

But, that's probably not the situation and we are very interested in figuring out what is going on here!

How many devices do you have loaded into Zenoss (Reports->Device Reports->All Devices)?

If possible, can you send us the results of:

        $ zenperfsnmp run -v 10

If you send it me (ecn At swcomplete doT com) I can take a detailed look.

Hi,

I just installed zenoss-0.20.0 from the tarball. The install appears to
have worked, and I can get into the screens and add devices, but I don't
seem to be getting any performance info.

When I look at zenperfsnmp.log, every minute there is the following
message:

WARNING: zen.zenperfsnmp: Devices status is not clearing. Restarting.

What might this mean, and is it likely to be relevant to my problem?

Thanks,
