Sven,
zensyslog has a flag --parsehost to give a shot at paring the host
part of a syslog message. Of course syslog messages very often don't
follow the RFC (which is vague anyway). Give it a shot. Code is in
SyslogProcessingThread.py:139
-EAD

Hi,
I want to filter syslog messages with syslog-ng first,
So I setup syslog-ng on the zenoss host listening on 515.
Events are recevied, and resend to zensyslog port 514.
How zensyslog determines the system? Via ip, syslog systemname?
Cause these events raised for zenoss host.
Sven
