This seemed to work perfectly.  I haven't been running zenmigrate with the 
--commit option so that must have been the problem.

I had already changed the IP and then added the new server.  I had to clear the 
heartbeat failures manually which I didn't know how to do until Eric Dahl's 
message earlier today.
