I definitely have Python-dev installed. So I'm going to give Zakir's suggestion a shot and see if it works. I'm going to remove/reinstall the LAMP basics and try to install Zenoss again. We'll see if that fixes it. Its a strange problem for sure (and quite annoying, too.).

Make sure you have python-dev installed. That's what I usually forget, and bang my head against until I remember. That seems to be the missing component in the LAMP install. I apologize if its been asked too many times already. New Ubuntu install, V6.10. Standard LAMP install and then basically I install SSH for remote access then I start following the Zenoss install docs. Entire install process from setting my static IP all the way to installing Zenoss goes fine, all my apt-get upgrades are fine, no issues. Once the installer is done, i go to the URL http://192.168.1.10:8080/zport/dmd and I see the following error: Site error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. The requested resource does not exist. Please click here to return to the Zenoss dashboard Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I'll gladly post some .logs or whatever is needed, I just didnt want to clutter up my initial post, etc. Thanks in advance.
