Hi Roberto,

We have not struggled to make Zenoss use less memory. I'm sure it's possible to use system resources more efficiently. We would gratefully accept changes that would help us do that.

If you notice that a daemon seems to use ever-increasing amounts of RAM, please let us know. The recently released 1.1.1 fixes such a problem in zenprocess.

Hi,
at now in my testing envirnment i've collected only some router and switch
(< 50) and only few machine (<10).
I see on Top monitor that every zenoss process consume a lot of memory, in
particular Zenping consumes 90M and also it take several minutes to build
pingtree.
At now I use a server with 796MB and sometimes it swap.
Ok I can increase RAM to solve temporary the problem, but the question is:
How can i determine the amount of ram needed?
My be i'm wrong but Why the process use so much memory and they do not use
the power of ZODB or MYSQL?
regards
Roberto
