I think that I have seen simular issues here posted without resolution. What is happening is that a server will reboot and and create and /Status/Ping down event. Once the server comes backup up another /Status/Ping up event is created. The up event does not clear the down event as it should instead zenoss is creating two sperate critical events in the database. Here is an example
/Status/Ping dztm01-den ip 10.1.250.201 is up 2007/03/03 13:32:46.102 2007/03/05 17:13:49.231 157 /Status/Ping dztm01-den ip 10.1.250.201 is down 2007/03/03 13:30:52.066 2007/03/03 13:31:49.062 2 Notice that the down event is never cleared The IPServices are also having a simular problem http /Status/IpService device:dztm01-den service:http back up 2007/03/02 10:15:36.727 2007/03/03 13:30:12.409 1634 smtp /Status/IpService device:dztm01-den service:smtp back up 2007/03/02 10:15:36.598 2007/03/03 13:30:12.358 1635 http /Status/IpService ip service 'http' is down 2007/03/02 10:14:51.350 2007/03/02 10:26:51.320 2 smtp /Status/IpService ip service 'smtp' is down 2007/03/02 10:14:51.307 2007/03/02 10:14:51.307 1 ------------------------ Paul morton -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=4582#4582 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
