Can someone describe the linkage between the base templates in perfconf ? I understand that the base device template can be exported and reimported to another device class and modified. But have only gotten this far.
I'm wondering if I can leave the Linux device template where it is and create a class furtherdown for Weblogic servers and add (dynamically append) a separate template to capture just weblogic related data points/thresholds. In this way I wouldn't have to duplicate the Linux base device template.
