Is there a solution to this. I am running into the same problem. I get the error Unable to determine an address for this appliance. The DHCP seems ok and I tried to enter static for the VM eth on the xp machine. One thing that seems odd is the DHCP is assigning IP on VMWare that is not the same scheme as my network. When I type in root at localhost login: it takes me to what looks like prompt [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]#. TIA
