I'm experiencing the same problem. I had some alerts that went out and others that failed. I wasn't sure what the problem was, but then I saw your posting. Sure enough, when I add the "Device Class" as a filter the alert will stop working. Doesn't matter what class I use. I'm running 1.1.2 from source on a RHEL WS4 machine.
