I had a connect error on one particular server using WMI. Username and password were correct, user was a local admin. All seemed like it should've worked. I would look in the zenwinmodeler.log file and i would see this error:
WARNING zen.zenwinmodeler: skipping <Server_Name_Here> has bad wmi state Finally, i got tired of the emails it was generating so I put it in maintenance mode. (Select device, click on down drop, select more, then select Administration) After putting it in to maintenance mode for eternity, all of a sudden it started authenticating and working as expected. Not sure if this will work for you, but I tested it by stopping the spooler service on that server and viola, i got an alarm so I knew it was polling correctly.
