I've run into a problem where the exercise of delete/re-add brings me full circle to the original problem as well. I would have thought that the creation of a device (even one which existed previously but was deleted) would create a unique device ID and not try to ride the coattails of a previous device. Fun stuff. And I haven't figured this out, either.
