There are a lot of discussion about WMI conflicts, connectivity issues as soon as you try to monitor windows systems.
I really can't understand tickethandling like http://dev.zenoss.com/trac/ticket/2182. Everybody can build a repro for this issues with 2.1.x and 2.1.71. I think most of us can enter .\user and password correctly. CHECK: Windows Server 2008 is released, now. Vista for more than one year. Just try to monitor one of these systems with Zenoss using WMI. It will not work. The only thing you will get are WMI errors. For repro you have to build one of these systems from scratch and try monitoring - that's all. It's quiet easy. Zenoss works great for ix systems. From my point of view it's not an solution for monitoring windows systems. Too many bugs concerning WMI and service monitoring. At the moment I will use Zenoss for monitoring IX systems only. One of the best products for these systems. Really fantastic! Will 2.2 brings this to a solution for Win systems, too? Would be great :-) -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=16980#16980 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
