Well after a few long days of studying the Zenoss source I finally
documented the method for generating a dynamicly collected view
along with a custom modeler plugin.
Basically it collects the outlets for an APC Switched PDU or UPS for
short. It adds a custom tab to view the outlets with some handy info
such as status (on/off), The phase, bank, device name plugged into
the outlet, along with any pending commands per outlet. All of this
is using the fancy Zenoss gui and it feels 100% integrated down to
the green/red dots for status :)
Should have everything documented and available on my site within
about a week or so. Finally have a clear path to modeling just about
anything.
I will also provide a Zenpack. I'll upload that sometime tomorrow
with documentation for creating your own plugins soon to follow.
I can't wait to see this, Zach! Hopefully this will open the door for
many more advanced community ZenPacks.
