You could make it a location. I toyed with using Systems for that as well. Something like /System/VMCluster/vmhost1. Unfortunately, unless you do some other scripting elsewhere, the location is not updated in Zenoss when a vm is migrated from one box to another. > > > Anyway, as you can tell I am still thinking about all of this. It's trying to be the place where all the information about your server is being kept. It should be possible to use Zenoss' XML-RPC view to allow you update the entry in Zenoss when your vms move around. With a little care, you might even be able to automatically update a link or command so that you can fire up a console session from w/in Zenoss.
