This alone is why we are willing to pay for a $3000-10000 monitoring solution that is not as flexible as Zenoss, but has dependencies.
However, I was told in the IRC chat that if the layer 3 topology is being read from the routers correctly, than network dependencies should be automatic. Now, as far as a database being mounted on a server being depended on by another?
