I used the check_hpjd nagios plugin very effectively and have decided to
implement it in zenoss core (latest stable release). I installed the plugin
and can run it from the shell I can run the command also with zencommand.
So I added the command per the instructions on the website
Templates New Data Source
Source Type: command
enabled: true
components: PrinterCheck
Event Class: /
Event Key: "Printer Status"
Severity: Critical
Cycle: 300
Command Template: /opt/zenoss/libexec/check_hpjd -H ${dev/manageIp}
What I would like to have this due is Send an email when trays or empty to the
right people. Right now a check_hpjd on a printer with an empty tray returns
"OK Tray X Empty"
I setup an alert rule for printers and I am not getting that alert. Any help
would be appreciated.
