We have an existing Zenoss Core 2.1.2 installation on Ubuntu Server 7.10 from source. I want to build a new Ubuntu Server 8.04 machine, install Zenoss Core 2.2 on it from the .deb package that is now available, and migrate all of our data to the new server.
Are there any established migration procedures for doing this type of move (that is not an in-place upgrade)? Can I use zenbackup on the old 2.1.2 installation and zenrestore it into the new 2.2 installation? What about zenmigrate--does it need to be run?
