I have been successfully following the instructions on setting up a http test example described in the zenoss manual and made it to seeing the graph as anticipated. However I can't setup a similar graph for a device class, rather than a single device.
Although all indications point to my success, an image-less graph shows up under the "Perf" tab! For the /Device/Web class, I have created a new template instead of using a copy, as mentioned in the single device instructions, is there anything special about the existing template? > > 5 - Navigate to the device in the Zenoss system and use the page menu to > select More and then Templates. > 6 - Click Create Local Copy button. > 7 - Drill into the template and remove the sysUpTime data source since we > wonât be using SNMP for this device. > Any help is much appreciated. ---- 2008.-05-24 14:37:55 DEBUG zen.zencommand: Command: '/bin/sh -c exec /opt/zenoss/libexec/check_http -H 64.236.16.20 -r ".*"' 2008-05-24 14:37:55 DEBUG zen.zencommand: Output: 'HTTP OK HTTP/1.1 200 OK - 1.567 second response time |time=1.567340s;;;0.000000 size=93136B;;;0\n' 2008-05-24 14:37:55 DEBUG zen.zencommand: Process check_http -H 64.236.16.20 -r ".*" stopped (0), 1.595129 elapsed 2008-05-24 14:37:55 DEBUG zen.zencommand: The result of "/opt/zenoss/libexec/check_http -H 64.236.16.20 -r ".*"" was "HTTP OK HTTP/1.1 200 OK - 1.567 second response time |time=1.567340s;;;0.000000 size=93136B;;;0" 2008-05-24 14:37:55 DEBUG zen.zencommand: storing time = 1.56734 in: Devices/www.cnn.com/rootWebCheck_time 2008-05-24 14:37:55 DEBUG zen.RRDUtil: create new rrd /opt/zenoss/perf/Devices/www.cnn.com/rootWebCheck_time.rrd
-------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=20402#20402 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
