after about a day and a half of fighting with the upgrade i finally gave up the ghost. i couldn't get it to load the database so i lost all my devices, and events and perf graphs. as for the periods i got fed up with it shortly after posing, and CTRL+C'ed it. then i tried it again, you know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. well i got a different result. it fired up.....oooooK. Anyway as i stated before after it fired up and i got into the dashboard i realized everything was gone. it was a bit like that part in Vanilla sky when the streets were empty. Anyway like i said i gave up on the upgrade for now, and restored a G4L image of the entire box and got back online. Sheesh what a mess. but hey if you or anyone else has an idea of how i can upgrade this successfully or what I might have done wrong i'd be more than happy to hear it.
