Using the language of your choice and its xml parser, write a client that retrieves and parses your RSS feed. For each feed, generate a zenoss event with a REST call that creates the event in zenoss. See the Zenoss developer's guide for details on how to create an event thru a REST call. Python or Ruby would be well suited for this task.

I am receiving status of some applications via an RSS feed. The feed has a standardized (published) format.

Is there a way I can get the feed info reflected into Zenoss events?
