Chances are, you're seeing an error caused by an inability to connect
to the mysql database. su to your zenoss user account (or whichever
user is running the zenoss app) and try connecting with the mysql
credentials with "mysql --user=username --database=events -p". If this
doesn't work, then I think you've found the culprit.

Hello all,
I've managed to squeeze the svn post 2.2 version of Zenoss into
Sparc-solaris 10.0 box (now I know something about the pain).
Everything appears to be running (web ui, mysql and monitors ) with
the exception of the dashboard which shows the famous message.
I googled about it, but descriptions I've found are vague -
"something went wrong with the connection" so they are not very
usefull.
How can I troubleshoot it? What am I supposed to look at?
cheers,
Danil
