Hi All, As per the subject, when a new device is Added/Discovered, when it does the initial Modeling discovered all interfaces are set to be monitored by default.
I would like to have a configurable default, which we could set to off and then as part of our provisioning process we would enable monitoring on the selected interfaces that are necessary. This would, for example save zenoss from creating the initial RRD files for 300+ user interfaces for which we have no need to monitor. As well it would save the system polling an additional 1000+ IOD's that arent needed and are only slowing the system down. Perhaps a setting like zInterfaceMonitorDefault is needed? I have been poking around in ~/Products/DataCollector/plugins/zenoss/snmp/InterfaceMap.py but I must admit that I am very green in python and could use a little push in the right direction... Help me please :) Thanks, Aaron -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=21455#21455 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
