SNMP Traps and Syslog will get you a lot of the same data. I don't recommend using both. Personally, I prefer syslog. If you do choose to use syslog, I would highly recommend not using debug logging unless your are actively debugging a problem. Depending on what kind of debugging you are doing, you could render your router unresponsive... Use at your own risk
