I look after a network with 100 ish MPLS connections. What we'd like to do is for the email alert to include specific details about the device when it goes down. The on call tech would then immediately have the details to open a case with our provider without having to login in to the corp network.
At the moment we store the details in the SNMP contact OID but we could just as easily put this in the device comments field after its been modelled. >From what I understand and have read it doesn't seem possible to do this in >the message section by default as it only has the default fields that an event >generates. any thoughts on how i can achieve this ? ...
