I see at least 10-15 of these a day (monitoring roughly 165 servers).

It's usually not the same servers, although occasionally a few usual suspects
(often those loaded most heavily and thus slowest to respond) show up often.

I can initiate a wmic query from the command line using the same username/pw
stored in Zenoss and execute WMI queries against these boxes, so it is not an
account/permissions issue problem.

My suspicion is that, as several of these take some time to return, a polling
cycle is completing before they all have a chance to come back. I also suspect
that some increased or verbose logging on one of the Zen daemons would help me
figure out what's causing them to fail.

Can anyone provide a direction to go from here? I can increase polling cycle
times (and have significantly increased the timeout value for WMI queries) but
that does not seem to have done much if anything. I can also turn up logging,
but I'm not sure which daemon is really the one to watch and don't want to
swamp us with irrelevant data from the other processes.

Assistance appreciated... thanks.
