You can disable topology building by providing zenping with a non-
existent root node to start from. To do this, edit $ZENHOME/etc/
zenping.conf and add the following line.

name WILLNEVEREXIST

I put the line in zenping.conf file, And restart all of the zenoss daemons, but it still has same behavior.

I was definitely mistaken about this. Failing to find the device specified by "name" in zenping.conf, zenping will figure out where to start from on its own. There are a few patches that will be in 2.2.4 that improve the topology building code. You could get them ahead of schedule by running these commands as the zenoss user.

zenpatch 9748
zenpatch 9831
zenpatch 9845
zenpatch 9870

Then you should restart Zenoss.
