You can can manage the events and alerts separately from the monitoring. So depending on what you want, you can either use an event mapping or transform for that interface to move the event to /Ignore, or you can keep the event (or move to history, but have it for reference in the web interface) and change your alerting rule to not send an e-mail for that event.
