I am looking at zenoss and trying to determine how to setup the ping test for
various devices. I would like a count of 5 ('ping -c5') on some devices and a
count of 30 ('ping -c30') on others. After much reading I found that I can
create new Collectors and modify the PingTries for them. I have done this and
moved the devices to these new collectors but when I reboot one of the servers
I never see an event.

I think I am missing something. Can someone help provide the steps for
configuring this? Here are the steps that I followed:
1. Created PingTest30 Collector (which is supposed to be an availability
monitor)
2. added serverA to it
3. Rebooted serverA
4. Checked for events - No event found for serverA
5. Collection date for serverA is 1969/12/31 18:00:00.000
6. serverA does not show up in Network Map (other servers in this subnet show
up)
7. Updated ModelerService.py and added the lines (from transaction import
commit and commit() after line 97
8. Remodeled serverA
9. Rebooted serverA
10. Checked for events - No event found for serverA
11. Collection date for serverA is still 1969/12/31 18:00:00.000

Also I don't see the device that is being rebooted in the Network Map so how do
I make it part of the Network map?

Any help is appreciated.
