@dbuck Many thanks for the response I am now able to start the GUI. Perhaps it it my previous familiarity with running machines within VMWare that misled me in to misunderstanding the install guide instructions. I was expecting the GUI to open within the virtual machine.
I may have missed it but I cannot find a reference in the guide to indicate that the Zenoss virtual machine running within the VMWare Player is a console based server only. It might also help others if the installation document also included guidance to users of the virtual machine to open the browser on the host machine. This will of course not be needed for users running Zenoss in a true Linux environment. Now on to the evaluation - does a quick-start guide to producing a LAN topology map exist for Zenoss? I realize that I can refer to the admin guide, however I am hoping an existing Zenoss user has created one they are willing to share, or perhaps offer just enough advice to get me started. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=25749#25749 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
