You can set the production state to "decommissioned." That should
prevent any monitoring or events from being generated. You can always
set it back to "Production" when you want to monitor it again.

Subject: [zenoss-users] How to stop monitoring a machine without
removing fromUI???

I feel like I am having a total duh moment but I am looking to stop
monitoring a machine but I do not want to remove it from view within the
zenoss UI? How can I do this and prevent the machine from generating
events in the event console?

Basically we have a collection of dev and staging machines here which we
periodically turn on and off on our esx cluster based on development
environment needs...when we turn a machine off I want to remove it from
monitoring but would need to be able to turn monitoring back on for the
machine when we bring it back online...

Any help would be greatly appreciated and my apologies for what seems
like a total monday duh moment at this point...

Thanks
