I am new to Zenoss, seeing it for the first time last week at another K-12 district close by. I want to start using Zenoss to monitor my network: - 55 Cisco switches - 22 Windows servers - 3 Xserves - 3 VMWare ESX servers - 176 wireless APs - AD/DNS/DHCP/Exchange/SQL
I am trying to decide which installer to use for Zenoss. After much reading on this forum and picking up a copy of the Zenos Core book, it seems that the virtual appliance is more limited than a native linux install. Given the cost of RHEL, I will probably go the Centos route. I have three questions: - Is my thought process on this sound that Centos would work best in my situation? - Any downsides to deploying Zenoss under Centos as opposed to Red Hat? - Should I install the 32 or 64 bit version? -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=27993#27993 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
