Hello Zen Community In the event console there is the Stop/Start refresh button (with 60 seconds as the defaulttime ). This doesn't do anything on our zenoss installs. Also after 24 hours the console reports "Unable to communication to the Server".
Testing involes the following 1 setting the refresh to 5 seconds and 60 seconds on both Stop and Start 2 inserting events via snmp traps and waiting the appropriate time x2 3 then note the apsence/presence of an event in the console State after the test: 1 The "Last updated <date>" above the event console does not change 2 The new events do not automatically appear. 3 However pressing "Event Console" on the left happily refreshes the event list and the new event(s) appear. This also updates the "Last updated" time. Our setup: - two zenoss servers (production and test) both v2.3 runing redhat EL 5.2 - tested with firefox 3.0.1 Fedora 9 & IE 7.05730 - both test and production servers fail to auto refresh the console screen Is this the expected behaviour?? We were intending to project the event console window up on a wall for our Network Operations Centre. At this stage this isn't possible as the event console won't automatically update.
