Ok, guys & gals, I'm a bit "lost". I have Zenoss Core installed and running on
a CentOS 5 server, with the Core Zenoss zenpacks installed along with the WMI
zenpack and the Perfmon Zenpack.

All of the above seem to be working great.

Now here is where I am very, very lost.

I would like to be able to execute a perl (or perhaps shell or python) script
to login to an Oracle database, execute a query, and graph the resulting data.

What I need is a tutorial on how to put in a custom script (perl/shell/python)
and walk me through how to get it into Zenoss and graph the resulting data.

Like a "Hello World" script :) Except it would return a number of some sort
that changes. I'm just trying to figure out how to do scripts in Zenoss and I
can't seem to figure it out.

I've looked through the Admin guide and I don't see it there. I've looked
through the FAQs and don't see it there.

Maybe its in the developer guide as I haven't looked there.

Does anyone have a tutorial or pseudo tutorial like this? Or can point me to
the appropriate threads?

Any help, comments, suggestions (albeit friendly) are welcome! :)

Thanks!
