I have FW box (Ubuntu with net-snmp 5.4.1), which has a few ethernet interfaces and one PPP connection.
I noticed that every time when PPP goes down and up, zenoss generates events about "Error reading value for "ppp0" on". I understand that this is because ppp0 gets different SNMP index on every start. My question - is there any elegant way to deal with monitoring of ppp interface (I use default ethernetCsmacd template) or I have to suppress such events by some transform rule? In fact, the only events I want to see it's down/up events.
