You said the data is in a text file, why wouldn't you just use the data to rebuild your device? I believe the modeling process in zenoss is a read only process ( of the target device ) so it would do nothing but read the bad data it would not write any data ( matter of fact I cant event think of a spot in zenoss to put a snmp write community string )
