We currently have a logging host on our network running Linux. This host rotates its logs daily and then populates new logs. Sometimes, we have issues were various logs are not being populated daily. This is bad for us because we rely on these logs for troubleshooting. This host also manages hundreds of logs, so its a nightmare trying to figure out which logs were not populated.
Does Zenoss have the capability to monitor file existance on a particular host? I was thinking of creating a script to do this, however it would be ideal if Zenoss could do this for me. I was also thinking that it would also be cool if Zenoss could do file integrity monitoring, similar to programs like Tripwire. Let me know if you have any ideas that might help me accomplish this. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=35996#35996 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
