Until Zenoss remodels the devices and removes the entry you may still get alerts. Mine took a day to settle. You could delete the offending entry from the OS tab then it shouldn't come back. You may also need to clear the heartbeats for the device. I sometimes find that you delete something but the heartbeats are still cached so I still get event errors even if the whole device has been removed. This usually happens when the system is a bit overloaded.
